Google® The new Yellow Pages®Getting found online is now vital to gym membership growth. People just 'google' what they want and look for the answer. Add to this the fact that 94% of those looking, don't go past page 1 of the search results anymore! PLUS, as the search results are getting pretty good now at bring back the answer to a searchers question, a lot of people aren't even going past the top 3 results! As a rule, the top spot (Ads excluded) gets around 34% of the clicks, 25% click on the second result and 15% click on the 3rd result. That leaves the other 7 spaces to fight for the remaining 26% .
With some 200 different factors, + social media that Google now uses to ascertain a websites relevance to a searchers question, getting up there is becoming very challenging!
International RecognitionWe were stunned to find out via Twitter, that our video and website we recently did for a West Australian gym has been picked up by Precor USA, Precor Aus and Precor UK.
Plus, the Precor Australia Marketing manager quoted: "Just wanted to pass on how impressed I was with the in-club photos & website link that was sent through. This has now received Precor global from a Precor/Preva promotional perspective! Would it be possible to receive the video file of the gym promotional video? As my Marketing Manager in China would like to view this & due to constraints on social media, she's blocked from viewing YouTube amongst other websites. Also I'd be interested to include this video as best practice within our company presentations".
